This 3 hour workshop will examine Beekeeping as a Spiritual Pathway. Bees don’t need prayers, but we can learn from them about the kind of Spirit and prayer we need to be partners with them and the planet.
Many of the foundations of scientific beekeeping were laid by clergy including L.L. Langstroth, Brother Adam at Buckfast Abbey as well as natural philosophers from Aristotle, Plato to modern metaphysics scholar Richard Taylor (who kept 300 hives). We will reflect on Spirit illuminated by careful science and theological reflection on being kept by bees.
